There are so many storage units to choose from! Which option is best for me?

With all the different storage options available, you might be confused as to what the best option for you might be. At our popular GOPHER STATE STORAGE location in St Anthony, just a little northeast of Minneapolis, you will find a variety of unit types and sizes. Here are a few points about each one to help you determine the best option for you.

 

Drive-up

  • Typically a larger unit, 100+ square feet. Some may have larger, wider and taller doors that can accommodate vehicles and trailers. Anything that runs on gasoline or other types of fuel must be stored in a drive-up unit. They are super convenient as you don’t have to walk far to get stuff in and out of them, and they are a great option for parking vehicles or your seasonal toys, keeping them secure, free of snow, rain, and ice, and out of harmful UV rays.

 

Main floor

  • These are a great option to keep your belongings locked away with extra security (you will need to pass through another door after entering a secure code to unlock it before accessing your unit). No stairs to climb, and you have a little extra protection from the outside elements, for both your items inside the unit and yourself while you’re organizing your unit.

 

Upper floor

  • These are a great option for storing clothes and documents. Flooding is much less likely on a higher floor, and like the main floor units, there will be extra doors to go through prior to accessing your unit, giving you a little bit of extra security. These are also typically a slightly less expensive option, with many sizes to choose from.
